Simply upload your bank statement file (PDF, CSV, or Excel format) and the analyzer will extract all transactions, identify merchants and payees using keyword matching, assign each transaction to one of 14 spending categories, and compute summary analytics including monthly trends, top merchants, and income vs expense breakdown.
The analyzer supports three common bank statement formats:
Transactions are automatically categorized into: Food & Dining, Shopping, Transport, Bills & Utilities, Entertainment, Healthcare, Education, Rent/Housing, Insurance, Subscriptions, Income, Transfers, ATM/Cash, and Other. The categorization uses a database of thousands of merchant names and keywords to achieve high accuracy.
Your bank statement is processed entirely in memory on the server and never stored to disk. No transaction data is saved, logged, or shared. The file is discarded immediately after analysis. We take your financial privacy seriously — the analyzer is designed with a zero-retention architecture.
For the most accurate analysis, use a CSV or Excel export from your bank's online portal rather than a PDF. CSV files have structured columns that are easier to parse reliably. Make sure the file includes columns for date, description/narration, and amount (or separate debit/credit columns). Statements covering 3-6 months give the best insight into spending patterns.
